10 Dead Bodies Found In Benue
No fewer than 10 corpses have been recovered by the police in Tse-Audu and Enger villages in Gwer West local government area of Benue state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command Moses Yamu made this known on Friday.
In a statement signed by him, the Police PRO said that the corpses were the victims of attacks by bandits on the communities on Thursday.
The police had deployed a mobile contingent to Naka, the headquarters of the local government council where the corpses were recovered.
According to Yamu, the residents were killed by unknown gunmen, some of whom had once attacked the policemen.
He said, “Eight dead bodies were found in the bush around Tse-Audu and Enger villages in Gwer West local government. This is in addition to the two bodies that were removed from the same area on the same day.”
Meanwhile, an investigation revealed that some residents had fled their homes due to the continuous attack by bandits.
