10 Governors For Obasanjo’s Coalition For Nigeria Movement
An investigation has revealed that 10 out of 36 state governors of the federation have signified their interest in the Coalition for Nigeria Movement, CN.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had announced that the group would be inaugurated today at a news conference he addressed over a week ago.
Obasanjo advised President Muhammadu Buhari not to contest for the second term in office in a letter he released at the news conference.
However, while the All Progressives Congress and the Federal Government had carpeted the Obasanjo’s letter, it appears that seven out of the 10 governors may be joining the CN.
It was gathered that the other three were governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and some former governors and lawmakers.
Some of the former governors that will be in CN include former National Security Adviser, Ex-Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido and former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke.
Also on the list are some retired generals, whom according to information were the masterminds of the CN.
The launch of CN Movement will hold this morning at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre.
An investigation also revealed that a former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola would be coordinating the CN as his Asokoro Abuja home was a beehive of activities yesterday, with politicians flocking the place.
