The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus has said that 2018 would be a good year for the PDP.
He said this in his New Year message, adding that the party would challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress and take back power from it.
He called on Nigerians to hold APC accountable to the economic problems Nigeria is facing, saying that the PDP would ensure that the country is returned to a better economy when it takes over from APC in 2019.
Secondus stated that PDP would come out stronger than it was and all strategies to return the party to its winning ways had been put in place.
He condemned APC style of governance, which according to him had impoverished many Nigerians.
He said that the APC had spent almost three years blaming the past administrations and had failed to provide the necessary infrastructure to improve the lives of the citizens.
He expressed gratitude to God for making Nigeria to witness another year in peace but not in war.
