Address The Corruption In Your Cabinet, CAN President Tells Buhari

The President, Christian Association of Nigeria, Dr Samson Ayokunle, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to deal with corruption within his cabinet to show the world that he really means business.

He said this in a chat with journalists at the 12th convocation of Bowen University, Iwo in Osun State on Saturday, adding that Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade must begin from the people that surround him.

According to Ayokunle, the fight against corruption appears to be one-sided going by the way the government is handling it.

He said, “The government focuses more on the people outside Buhari’s political camp while those in his camp are enjoying some sorts of protection.”

As he put it, “President Buhari must beam the searchlight on members of his cabinet and his party men if he wanted to be taken seriously in his war against graft.”

The CAN president said that President Buhari must act from within to show that he is sincere with his fight against corruption.

To him, the president has failed to address the criminality of herdsmen across the country, adding that many families had been thrown into mourning due to the attack by herdsmen in the recent time.
