Ahmed Musa, 15 Others Suspected Kidnappers, Armed Robbers Arrested In Niger
No fewer than 16 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force in Sabo Wuse in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Force Spokesman, CSP Jimoh Moshood told journalists on Thursday, adding that the police also recovered dangerous weapons and stolen items from the suspects.
According to him, the suspects include Ahmed Musa, Abdulkareem, Muhammadu , 25, Yakubu, Abdullahi and Abdulmalik.
Moshood also mentioned Yunusa 40, Bashir, 30, Ahmadu, 23, , Usman, 42, Tanko 40, Usman, 29, Sani, 37, Usman, 75, and Alex 33.
Items recovered from the suspects included one locally made revolver pistol, three pump action guns and two Beretta pistol, Two AK 47 rifles and Sub Machine Gun.
The police also recovered 85 rounds of 7.62, ammunition, one air rifle, three live cartridges, 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition, six rounds of 380 auto and five AK 47 magazines.
Also found with the suspects were one Toyota muscle car, one fabricated master key, two Toyota Corolla cars, one Tecno cell phone and one box of fake dollar notes.
Moshood said the suspects were arrested on Nov. 06, 2017 after a sustained surveillance and raid of the criminals’ hideous by a combined police teams.
The suspects had since confessed of their crimes and the role they played in it, the CPS said.
As the investigation continues, Moshood said that the suspects would soon be arraigned before the court.
