APC, nPDP Resolve Issues
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress and that of the new Peoples Democratic Party within APC has resolved the grievances among some members.
The APC group led by its Deputy National Chairman, Sen. Shuaibu Lawal met behind closed-door with the nPDP group led by Alhaji Kawu Barajeon Monday where they resolved the matter.
The nPDP leadership in a four-page letter to the leadership of APC last week had expressed its grievances, saying that the APC was maltreating its members.
It gave the APC a week ultimatum to address the issue or else it would pull out of the party it joined hands to form.
However, the issue had been resolved, Baraje told journalists on Monday, adding that the APC leadership is sensitive to have called for the meeting.
He said that the nPDP members are intact and will not be leaving APC.
In his comment, Lawal who represented the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun said that the party had taken a look at the complaints of its members and would take the necessary step to address it.
He described the Baraje group as politicians, adding that complaints are part of democracy and would be adequately attended to.
