Army Gets Clue About Whereabouts of Dapchi Schoolgirls
Troops of the Nigerian Army searching for the 110 abducted schoolgirls of the Government Girls Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State may have got clues of the whereabouts of the pupils.
A member of the House of Representatives, Goni Bukar, representing Bursari/Yunusari/Gaidam Federal Constituency, said the girls were still within Yobe State.
He told our correspondent that investigation had revealed that the girls were hidden by the Boko Hara insurgents in a village in Bulabulin, Yunusari Local Government.
“The girls are within Yobe. We have an idea that they are in Bulabulin, Yunusari Local Government.
He stated that the Boko Haram members had been living in the local government for more than four years and that the military is aware of the situation there.
Bukar, however, said that he would not like to blame the soldiers because the troops had been doing a lot of work to dismantle the abode of the terrorists in the area but it has not been easy.
“This issue is beyond the military that we have in Yobe … It is not the issue of sending 10 policemen or 20 soldiers. It is a matter of commitment,” he said.
