Badoo’s Mastermind ‘Alhaji Alaka Abayomi’ Arrested In Magodo
The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 51-year-old man, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi for allegedly involved in the killing of a family of five in Oke Ota community, Ibeshe, Ikorodu by a ritual cult, Badoo.
Abayomi was arrested along with two other suspects at his residence located in Magodo area of Lagos on Monday.
The suspects had since taken the police to a shrine, which they said is their hideouts in Agbowa town, Ikorodu.
Badoo cults broke into one Mr. Rotimi Adejare’s apartment in Oke Ota community, Ibeshe, Ikorodu at the weekend.
The cultists killed the man, his wife, Rita and their two daughters while the third daughter was taken to the Ikorodu Hospital and presently in critical condition.
It was reported that the criminals gained access to the Adejare’s residence through the kitchen window, which has no burglary proof except net.
“They tore the net and smashed their victims’ heads with stones early Sunday morning,” a source said.
Initially, the police denied that the crime was committed by Badoo but latest findings showed that the killing was the handiwork of Badoo ritualists.
According to the command’s spokesperson, Olarinde Famous-Cole, five buildings used by the gang had been uncovered.
“The police detectives discovered figurines of different sizes, charms and various occult materials in the houses and shrines,” she said.
