SYNOPSIS

The movie signals the genesis of the justice league and chronicles the face-off between the two most influential members of the leagues that led to the formation of the league. Lex luthor is also introduced as a self serving villain with the full screen debut of wonder woman.

Well am not here to tell you what the movie was all about but to review the movie critically

First of the general consensus of majority of folks after seeing this movie is one of disappointment. Considering that marvel has done so well with the avengers, and this was touted as some sort of competition for marvel, they fell way below expectation.

Lets look at some direct issues here. First of is the portrayal of lex luthor. The character looked was a terrible joker wanna be and I must say that got it all wrong here. Considering the success of Christopher Nolans “THE DARK KNIGHT” trilogy, it didn’t make sense to try and make lex luthor seem like joker.

Second point here is doomsday. The doomsday as we know is an intelligent creature and not some mindless freak whose arm is as big as superman. So on that note they got it wrong.

The fight scenes were also badly choreographed. It seemed like I was watching a terrible flick from the 50’s and even that is being generous. How can one explain superman flying with a kryptonite tipped spear just moments after just being exposed to it weakened him to the extent that he couldn’t even stand?

The storytelling was inept all through the movie and they really could do much better. The plot resolution was just painfully predictable and lacked any form of ingenuity. On this production I am not looking forward to the dawn of justice movies and rumours even have it that zack Snyder has been dropped from further directing the subsequent justice league movies.

Although the movie has done considerably well in the box office, it is said that if the movie doesn’t hit the $1 billion dollar mark in box office takings, then that would mean that the movie performed badly considering the amount put into promotion of the movie
