Breaking: Boko Haram Abducts 31 Loggers
The Boko Haram terrorists have abducted about 31 loggers who had gone to fetch firewood in northeast Nigeria on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the loggers were missing a few days that the leader of the insurgency, Abubakar Shekau released a video that the Jihadists were waxing stronger despite claims that the Federal Government of Nigeria had subdued them.
Recalled that about 30 troops vanished a few days ago when the terrorists attacked a military base in the region.
According to findings, the loggers most of them in their twenties had left a town Gamboru on the border with Cameroon to fetch firewood in an area regarded as Boko Haram territory.
Since Tuesday that they left, all of them 31, are yet to return home, suggesting that they have been abducted by the Jihadists.
A source, Umar Kachalla, a militia in Gamboru said that the loggers had left for Wulgo village in nearby Marte district, 15 kilometres away but never returned.
He said, “I saw them when they left with their axes and wooden carts to fetch wood. This is what they do to make money and feed their families but they have been captured by the insurgents.’
