Breaking: Dino Melaye’s Arms Case: Suspects Escape From Police Cell
In what looks like drama, suspected criminals who indicted Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye as their arms supplier, have escaped police custody.
The suspects confessed to the police earlier last week that they were hired by Melaye when the police charged them with illegal possession of firearms.
The two suspects, Nuhu Salish aka Small and Kabiru Seudu, aka Osama along with four others were said to have escaped the ‘A’ division cell in Lokoja, around 3 am.
It was gathered that they went through the back door. Confirming the incident, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Janga said the suspects had been declared wanted along with Mohamed Audu and Senator Melaye.
Meanwhile, all the 13 police officers who were on duty when the suspects escaped had been arrested and detained immediately, the commissioner said.
“Consequently, all the six suspect, Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu were sent for watchlisting by the Interpol for immediate arrest anywhere we see them,” he said.
