Breaking: Osinbajo Summons Governors, Service Chiefs For Security Retreat
Presently going on inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja is an emergency security retreat being chaired by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Investigation revealed that the governors and the service chiefs were summoned by the acting president Osinbajo late last night to resume at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa this morning.
It was learnt that the National Economic Council organized the retreat, which may be as a fallout of sudden attack on the Headquarters of the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission on Wednesday.
Gunmen attacked the Wuse office of the EFCC early Wednesday where they destroyed valuable items, including vehicles belonging to the anti-graft agency.
The retreat also being attended by the nation’s security chiefs is holding inside the Banquet hall.
It was also gathered that some members of the Federal Executive Council were at the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu had said that the commission would not be deterred from performing its function against corruption by the attack on its office.
