Buhari Has Failed To Deliver – Falae
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olu Falae said that President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to deliver on his campaign promises.
He said this after a two-hour closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Presidential Library, Abeokuta on Tuesday.
He said that while Buhari remained his friend, the president had failed to deliver on his campaign promises, which of course is affecting the country at present.
Falae whom himself was the presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in 1999 said that his party entered an alliance with Buhari’s Congress For Progressive Change, CPC in 2011 because the president promised to restructure the country.
However, Falae noted that Buhari had failed to implement his promise to restructure the country.
His visit to Obasanjo, Falae said was not because of a presidential ambition but to discuss how to move the country forward.
As he put it, “The affairs of the nation is greater than any personal ambition.”
Falae said he had visited Obasanjo to exchange views with him on how to advance the cause of Nigeria.
Recalled, the SDP never supported Buhari in 2015. The party was alleged to have collected N100 million to form an alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party.
