Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is fast losing grip of governance.
He said this at the plenary on Tuesday, adding that the Federal Government had failed in its capacity to provide security for the nation.
Sani lamented the incessant killings in many parts of the country by bandits as he called on those working at the presidency to tell Buhari the truth about the security situation in the country.
He mentioned Birnin Gwari and Chikun as some of the places that had been under serious attack by the bandits as he called on the government to provide security for the innocent residents of those communities.
“There is need to have permanent army presence in Birnin Gwari and Chikun. These communities have been under siege by bandits in the last two years. Many villages have been sacked while residents killed and abducted by kidnappers,” he said.
He urged the presidency to tell President Buhari the truth that the government is failing and falling apart. Describing those working with Buhari as opportunists. Sani said this is not the time to politicize security but the period to put politics aside and provide the necessary security for Nigerians.
