Buhari’s Administration Is Suffering From Allodoxaphobia

By  |

Nigeria News takes a look at the mistakes Omoyele Sowore may have made over his call for revolution.

The publisher of Sahara reporter, an online medium, Mr. Omoyele Sowore may stay longer than 45 days at the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS).

He goofed big time to have called for a revolution at a time the current government is seeking a scapegoat to silence Nigerians.

Sowore, who contested against President Muhammadu Buhari and lost woefully should have allowed the government to take off fully with ministers sworn-in before calling for revolution.

Buhari always pretends to be neutral when it comes to dealing with those against his government. This administration is suffering from “Allodoxaphobia”, in other words, the fear of being criticised.

The president left Sowore in the hands of the DSS operatives to deal with while he sat in his parlour to pick his teeth with a smile.

If the DSS can quickly perfect the documents to release the leader of Shiites movement, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, it will do so and allow the man to fly to India for medicals.

Sowore will be taken the position of El-Zakzaky in the DSS cell. El-Zakzaky and his wife, we were told spent N3.5 million monthly on food as posited by the former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

We are expecting what the DSS will budget for the feeding of Sowore in 45 days. The High Court in Abuja who granted the detention of Sowore added a clause that the period could be extended depending on how quick the DSS conducts its investigation on Sowore.

In the court, the DSS produced tape where Sowore had dialogued with the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu on how to cause a revolution in Nigeria and overthrow the legally elected government of Buhari.

The evidence also showed that Sowore was in contact with the Shiites members and their leader on the plan to overthrow Buhari.

Nobody, including Sowore’s lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) ever thought that the DSS would go as far as this. The fiery lawyer was so sure that he could get Sowore out of the semi-gulag that he is now.

He boasted that the government could not charge Sowore and that if he was charged, Buhari himself would be invited as a witness.

Falana explained that Sowore and other participants in the #RevolutionNow protest had the fundamental rights to do so while the police must protect them.

But with the situation of things now and the side of DSS, the government is not even looking at the protest but the case of planning with terrorist group to hijak government from Buhari.

Recall that the court has declared Shiites and IPOB as terror groups. Kanu is currently a fugitive, El-Zakzaky is on the verge of securing his freedom, Sowore must be in custody not only to show that the DSS is working but to scare opposition and critics of this government that the DSS cell is empty for scapegoats.

Sowore may be tagged a terrorist and if care is not taken, the government may take a more drastic measure against him.

This will send a signal to any other person or group of persons that may want to challenge the government. It will also send panic to the media industry about how not to report the the activities of the present government.
