Football fans in Nigeria have been making a mockery of the home-based Super Eagles, following their dismal performance against Morocco National team on Sunday.
The Moroccans whitewashed the Super Eagles with four un-replied goals to win the Champions of African Nations tournament on own soil.
Nigerian lads displayed poorly with no accurate passes and many tactical blunders. One goal in the first half and another three goals in the second half sealed the gold medal for the determined Morocco team.
Following the loss, football fans took to Twitter and other social media platform, throwing tantrums at the players for their unprofessional conducts on the pitch.
One of the Super Eagles players was red carded in the first half to create more advantage for the more technically sound Morocco side.
The North African side dominated the match for the whole 90 minutes while the Super Eagles, some of whom had been pencilled down for a call to the World Cup team, messed up the opportunity.
However, it was learnt that the players jubilated for coming second in the tournament and winning silver despite all odds.
And as he put it, former Super Eagles midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju has congratulated the team for a job well done.
He took to his twitter handle, saying that nobody gave the lads any chance but here they are second best in Africa against all odds.
