Danjuma’s Life May Be In Danger – Wike
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is of the view that the life of the former Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen Theophilus Danjuma (RETD) may be in danger after making a brave statement against herdsmen killings.
Wike said that he would fast and pray to God to protect Danjuma from bloodthirsty people who might be seeking his life after making a very bold statement.
The elder statesman called on Nigerians at the maiden convocation of the Taraba State University last weekend to defend themselves against the killer herdsmen.
He also accused the armed forces of colluding with herdsmen to kill innocent citizens, which he described as ethnic cleansing that must stop immediately.
Speaking during the swearing-in of four judges of the High Court and the Customary Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Wike said that though he hardly goes on fast, he would do it so that Danjuma will live after telling the truth.
The governor accused the security agents in Rivers of complicity, saying that they are working for the ruling All Progressives Congress at the federal to jeopardize the security of the state.
“The country has become directionless under APC,” he said.
