Dapchi Schoolgirls Abduction: FG Is Hiding Facts – PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Federal Government of hiding the facts about the abduction of over 100 pupils of Government Girls Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State by Boko Haram insurgents.
The National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan raised the allegation as he called on the Federal lawmakers to investigate the matter quickly.
The PDP referred to the Yobe State Governor’s statement that the Boko Haram terrorists arrived the college shortly after the troops of the Nigerian Army were redeployed from the place.
According to the statement released by the party, there is a contradiction between the number of abducted children released by their parents and the one released by the Minister of Information and Culture.
The Chairman of the forum of parents of the missing girls, Bashir Manzo has put the number of missing girls at 105 but the Federal Government said it is 110.
Manzo said that none of the parents was at the meeting between the state and federal government, saying it was so bad that the governments did not deem it fit to invite the parents.
Meanwhile, more troops had been deployed in the area to comb the bush and rescue the innocent girls from the dreaded terrorists.
