Democracy Day: Our Anti-Corruption Policies Are Yielding Results – Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his administration’s anti-corruption policy is yielding tremendous results as international community testifies to this.
He said this in his nationwide broadcast this morning to mark the Democracy Day, May 29, calling on Nigerians to continue to give their support to the administration.
He said, “The international community gives us accolades on the way we fight against corruption.”
President Buhari said in the last three years, Nigerians and the international community had been applauding the government anti-corruption policy.
“As I always said, if we don’t kill corruption, corruption will destroy this country. That is why we will not rest on our oars despite efforts by corrupt people to fight back.
Besides corruption, the president noted that the present administration had ensured that there is peace in Niger Delta to stabilize the economy of the country.
He said that the government was working round the clock to stop the herdsmen and farmers clash in some of the parts of the country.
He stated that the administration is pained by various killings perpetrated by insurgents and criminal elements, adding that the government would not rest until the perpetrators are brought to book.
