Ex-Abia Governor, Kalu Lashes Out At APC Members In The State
The former Governor of Abia State Orji Uzor Kalu has lashed out at the members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state for intraparty squabbles overtime.
The former governor expressed his displeasure with some of the APC members while addressing a stakeholders meeting in Umuahia on Friday.
Kalu said the continuous quarrels and tussle over who controls the structure of the party is becoming unbearable and must stop if the party must make any headway in the coming elections.
He wants all those involved to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign.
He also pointed accusing fingers at some members who he said were engaged in anti-party activities.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had been investigating Kalu over money laundering while he was the governor of the state between 1999 and 2007.
However, the anti-graft agency has relaxed its probe of the former governor since he joined the All Progressives Congress a few months ago.
The members of the public expected that his name would appear in the list of looters released by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed but Kalu was no there.
