The Rivers State Governor said he accompanied him to ensure that he was not harassed.
After handing over to Dr Kayode Fayemi, the new Ekiti State governor, Fayose made himself available to EFCC as he had earlier promised.
On September 12, Fayose explained in a statement issued that several actions of the anti-graft agency, including an attempt to secure a temporary forfeiture of his property and the freezing of his account, indicated that there was a need to answer some questions.
Former Governor of Ekiti State also said he took the decision due to his belief in the rule of law, noting that he is fully prepared to clarify all the issues related the anti-graft body’s investigations on the stated date.
