FIFA World Cup Draws: Super Eagles Pray For Group of Life
Super Eagles players will prefer a simple group as the world football governing body prepares to make the 2018 world cup draws on Friday.
The ceremony, scheduled to take place in Russia will begin at 3:30 pm on Friday as football fans and 32 countries across the world wait to see the groups of death and life.
Having qualified without a single defeat for the tournament and their recent 4-2 victory against two-time world champions, Argentina, the super eagles will be going to the world cup with their soldiers held high.
There are four pots to choose the groups, and the first pot referred to as the team pot, has some of the former champions like Brazil, Germany, Argentina and France.
According to FIFA, one of the eight teams in pot one must be in every group. This suggests that Nigeria could play Germany or Brazil.
Nigeria had played Argentina in three world cup with the South American running away with a victory. Nigeria has never played Germany and Brazil at this stage and perhaps the Friday draws may pitch one of the football superpowers with the super eagles.
However, there is always upset at the world cup, Nigerian fans do not pray for a group of death.
