Fugitive And Captive; Between Sowore And Kanu
ElevateNews takes a look at the continued detention of Omoyele Sowore.
I can say with all conviction that the Leader of the Independent People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu is a coward and fugitive. A man without balls who always claims to be a warrior.
Kanu is an escapee and a liar. And by now, those who think he is a freedom fighter should have a rethink that this Kanu is a runaway Joe that will hide when the war front becomes turbulent.
He could only launch his words from foreign lands, he lacks the courage to face the rigour at home. The publisher of the online media platform, Omoyele Sowore ought to have seen better now
Brave men had long died. A good example was the former deputy Head of State, Gen. Tunde Idiagbon (RETD) who refused to stay put in Saudi Arabia when Gen. Ibrahim Babangida overthrew the regime of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
Babangida had warned Idiagbon to stay off Nigeria or else he would have himself to blame. The Saudi King also offered Idiagbon the opportunity to stay in the Arab land for the duration of the
He said it would be a honour for him to die beside his boss, Buhari who had already been arrested and locked up in the cell. As he pledged, Idiagbon left Saudi for Nigeria. He was arrested and detained with Buhari for 40 months.
The late legal icon and senior advocate of the masses, the human right lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi was another dogged fighter. Fawehinmi fought the military to standstill, he never fought from abroad.
Beko Kuti did same, he never ran away to run his mouth from a
He is still a fugitive because he jumped bail. This is a man Sowore had a meeting with to topple the government of Buhari.
Of course, he had denied collecting money from Kanu to topple Buhari’s government but the fact remains that Sowore and Kanu had a meeting.
Meeting with a man who had denounced his citizenship with Nigeria is like applauding his plan on secession to create
After the meeting, according to the report by the Department of State Service, Sowore flew to Nigeria to organize “RevolutionNow” a protest against the elected government.
While speaking before the judge on Tuesday, he said that he never collected any money from Kanu and that his “RovolutionNow” protest was misconstrued by the government to mean a plan to topple the government.
He is to continue his 45 days in the cell as the court refused to grant him bail. There is little that his lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) can do now because it has been established that Sowore has been meeting the leader of a terrorist group, Kanu whom himself is a fugitive.
