Fulani Herdsmen/Farmers Clash: Two Villages Set Ablaze In Adamawa
The farmer/Fulani militia crisis rocking Numan areas of Adamawa state has continued to deepen as two villages have been set ablaze this morning by the herdsmen.
The communities of Lawaru and Dong villages are currently on fire following early morning attacks by the Fulani militia who vowed to wipe out farming communities in the areas.
Recalled that only three days ago, the same militia tried to ambush the communities when they were repelled by both the Army and the Police during which five policemen were killed.
Although casualties cannot be ascertained at the moment, the villages and the villagers are badly affected.
Some community members who spoke to our correspondent said at the time of the attacks, no security presence was around the areas, a reason the youths of the affected areas are currently slugging it out with the attackers in their hideouts.
Adamawa state at the moment is under security threats and tension following the uprising of the herdsmen against the farmers.
The effort to reach the Police Public Relations Officer of the Adamawa Police Command had been proved abortive as his GSM line had been switched off.
