Germany Coach Rates Morocco Above Nigeria
Coach of the Germany senior football team, Joachim Loew has rated Morocco national team better than the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
He said that Morocco team had proven to be the strongest team in Africa, having won and drew all its matches without any loss to qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Morocco was knocked out at the quarter final of the 2017 African Cup of Nation with its soldiers held high.
Nigeria was the first African team to qualify for the tournament next year with no loss but Loew was of the view that Morocco could spring the best surprise in Russia 2018.
Coached by the former Ivory Coast tactician Herve Reinard, the Morocco team qualified alongside, Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt and Tunisia as African representatives.
Loew said that he knew some good teams were coming from all over the world, including Africa but would single out Morocco as a team to watch.
“Morocco may be one of the potential giant killers in the world cup,” he said.
Super Eagles coach Garnot Rohr recorded a tremendous feat for Nigeria for qualifying the team without a single loss.
He also ensured that the team defeated Argentina in a friendly match they played in Russia about a week ago by 4-2.
