Heavy Traffic Looms In Lagos As President Buhari Visits The Metropolis
As President Muhammadu Buhari visits Lagos On Thursday, there is strong indication that there will be traffic jams.
The State Government has declared the day a work-free day for its workers and also urged traders along some dedicated routes in the state to keep off the roads.
The government specifically mentioned the popular Simbiatu Abiola Road, which links to the popular Computer Village to keep off the area as the president comes to the place to inaugurate the modern bus terminal.
The state government built the terminal in its quest to make a mega city. On Monday, the state Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode was in Ketu area of the state where he inaugurated a layby and pedestrian bridge to ease traffic along Lagos-Ikorodu corridor.
Besides the fact that Buhari would inaugurate the modern terminal, it was learnt that the president would use his visit to chair Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Colloquium.
The former Lagos State Governor will be 66 on Thursday and a colloquium is organized to celebrate him.
The annual colloquium is used as a forum to discuss the politics and economy and chart a way forward on how to solve the many problems facing the country.
