Herdsmen: How They Killed Policeman, Civil Defence Corps

The body of one of the two policemen that were declared missing a few days ago in Benue State has been found.


The Benue Police spokesman Moses Yamu said that the body was found in a bush at Azege, Tombo Ward on Monday.


Four policemen were ambushed by some Fulani herdsmen at the weekend in Tse Akpan in Logo Local Government.


Two of the policemen escaped while the other two were captured by the herdsmen.


On Monday the lifeless body of one of the policemen was found and had been deposited in the mortuary.


The police PRO, Yamu said that the body had been dismembered as he could not identify the rank of the dead policeman.


There is no trace or any information yet of the remaining policeman, he explained.


Also in Awanger Village in Guma Local Government two bodies of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were found.


It was gathered that the corps were killed by herdsmen.
