I Am Not Capable of Being Used – Oshiomhole
As he announced his intention to join the race for the national chairmanship of the All Progressives Congress, former Edo State Governor, Mr Adams Oshiomhole has said that he would not allow anybody to use him against democracy.
He said this while declaring publicly his ambition in Abuja on Thursday, adding that while he would like to be used for those who needed it, he is not capable of being used by anybody for selfish gains.
He said that he was not pushed to contest but had come out because he believed he could add value to the polity and democracy at large.
He commended the founding chairman of APC Chief Bisi Akande, as well as the current national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, saying history would speak positively about them and their contribution to democracy.
Oshiomhole said: “I want to assure the leaders of the party that I am clear as to what my responsibilities will be if elected the national chairman of the party. I want to be of help. I want to be of use to those who need it. But I am not capable of being used.”
Oshiomhole will be waiting to be elected alongside other national officers at the party’s national congress to be held soon.
