The Lagos residence of the popular actor, Prince Jide Kosoko has been receiving hundreds of sympathizers, since the death of his wife Henrietta was announced on Monday.

Members of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners have been paying condolence visits to the home to pay their last respect to one of them that passed away.

The popular actress Henrietta who is also the wife of popular actor Jide Kosoko is dead.

She died on Monday in Lagos when she slumped and effort to revive her proved abortive. Henrietta was 53 and before her death, she had been battling diabetes.

The deadly illness took away one of the brightest theater icons away,” one of her admirers, who simply identified herself as Bolanle has said.

Jide Kosoko is a household name in Nollywood. This is the third time he will be bereaved, having lost two of his former wives to cold hands of death.

As they mourned their mother, her two children, Sola and Bidemi took to facebook account to express grieve, adding that they would miss her dearly.

Though the husband Kosoko is yet to comment on the demise of his wife, information revealed that he was the one who lured her into theatre.

Henrietta was a trained caterer and was popular in Mushin area of Lagos before Kosoko fell in love with her and consequently introduced her into drama.

Before she finally gave up on Monday, Henrietta was involved in a ghastly motor accident in Shagamu last year but survived.

She was the heroin of the popular film Omolade, which was produced by her husband Kosoko.

Commenting on the death, the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners described Henrietta as a great actress that her role would be seriously missed.

The ANTP President, Comrade Victor Ashaolu described Henrietta’s demise as “a big blow to the association and the film industry.
