Jubilation as Nigerians Usher In 2018
Churches and mosques in Nigeria were opened since the night of December 31st, 2017 until the early morning of January 1, 2018, as worshippers praised God for another New Year.
At the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye preached at the crossover service.
Speaking on “Enforcing dominion over enemies” the cleric urged Nigerians to exercise dominion over the challenges that had been weighing the country down in the past.
He said that Jesus Christ had already fought the battle for Nigeria and won and that the people of God were more than the conqueror.
Adeboye spoke extensively on peace and prosperity that would be in Nigeria in 2018, adding that the country would be better off than what it used to be.
Meanwhile the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode had called on Lagosians to use the peaceful atmosphere to improve the peaceful co-existence in the state.
He said this at the grand finale of the Lagos Fiesta at the Eko Atlantic, Lagos. The governor commended Lagos residents for their support in 2017 as he called for their partnership in moving the state to a greater height in 2018.
