Kaduna Commissioner For Education Prof. Jonathan Andrew Nok Dies

The Commissioner for Education, Kaduna State Prof. Jonathan Andrew Nok, is dead.

Nok was 55.  There were no adequate reports of what could have killed the Professor of Biochemistry.

He was born on 11 February 1962, hailed from Nok  Village in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Nok lectured at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in the Department of Biochemistry before the state Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai appointed him as Commissioner for Health and Human Services.

He was later appointed as the state Commissioner for Education in a recent cabinet reshuffle by the governor.

He was sometimes the Dean of Science of the prestigious university.

This came barely two weeks that the state conducted competency test for its public school teachers.

Many of the teachers failed and the government threatened to sack them.
