Leave APC If You Don’t Want Buhari, Fed. Lawmaker Tells Colleagues
Senator Abdullahi Adamu has called on federal lawmakers working against the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari to quit the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He said that it is bad that some of the lawmakers are using the party that brought them to the seats to battle the president and come up with legislation to kill Buhari’s ambition.
Adamu was removed as the Chairman of the senate northern caucus a few days ago over N70million scam and his disagreement with the Senate on the reordering of the 2019 election timetable.
The senator who looked unruffled by his removal criticized members of the House of Representatives and Senate who had since cut the umbilical cord between the government and the party.
To him, the lawmakers are supposed to be working according to the rules and regulations of the party but with the way things are, they have derailed and working for personal gains.
He condemned some lawmakers who had been indifferent to the whole scenario, calling on them to remember that they occupied their present seats on the platform of APC.
Adamu, however, said that Buhari had the right to contest for the second term and that many of the senators would still stand by him when the time comes.
