Maina’s Case’ll Not Be Swept Under Carpet – Sagay
The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay has said that the scandalous reinstatement of the of the Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Mr Abdulrasheed Maina will not be swept under the carpet.
He said that all the ministers and public office holders that were involved in the case would be investigated thoroughly and brought to book.
Some of those involved include the Minister of Interior, Abdurahman Dambazau, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, the Head of Service, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita.
Also included were two (2) permanent secretaries of the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Civil Service Commission.
Though Maina has run into hiding since President Muhammadu Buhari ordered his dismissal from service, Sagay said all those that aided his reinstatement would be probed.
Sagay enjoined members of the public to be patient with the government adding that serious investigation is going on to bring those that perpetrated the fraudulent reinstatement and subsequent promotion of Maina in the civil service.
Maina said he had run into hiding because some unknown persons were after his life because he has the documents to nail them in the pension scam.
