Man U To Meet Chelsea in F.A. Cup Quarterfinal After Beating Blackburn
Manchester United will meet Chelsea in the quarter finals of the F.A. cup after seeing of the challenge of Blackburn rovers at Ewood park on Sunday.
The man of the moment, who is breaking records at every turn, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, came off the bench to score the winner as the defending champions beat championship strugglers Blackburn by 2 goals to 1 in the FA Cup fifth round.
Blackburn gave Manchester United a scare as they scored first with Marvin Emnes setting up the goal after an excellent play for Danny Graham who rose to give his team the lead with a good finish.
This led to Manchester United knocking on the doors of the Blackburn defence and Rovers goalkeeper Jason Steele had to be on alert as he parried an attempt from Ander Herrera who stung his palms with a fierce drive.
Marcus Rashford then equalised for the Man U by going round the goalkeeper and slotting in from a brilliant assist by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
This set the tone for substitute, Paul Pogba to lay a pass which played in Zlatan and he was given too much time and space in the Blackburn box to score.
Premier league leaders, Chelsea are now up next for Manchester United in the quarter finals.
