Nigeria News – ‘Amaechi Must Now Resign And Return Home To The PDP Where He Belongs’ – Atiku
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation to return to the main opposition party, PDP.
PDP presidential candidate, through Phrank Shaibu, his Media Aide, asked the Minister of Transportation to resign and return to the main opposition party, a party he left in 2014.
The Minister, under the PDP, served his two (2) terms as governor as well as a speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
While talking about the freshly leaked audio where the minister reportedly lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari, the PDP presidential candidate said it took courage for Rotimi Amaechi to take such a step.
Atiku stated, “We lament the shabby treatment of Amaechi for speaking truth to power in a leaked audio tape which led to his being made a ceremonial director general of the president’s re-election campaign organization.
“Amaechi must now resign and return home to the PDP where he belongs.”
