Atiku Abubakar, Former Vice President has emerged winner of the People Democratic Party (PDP) presidential election ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Former Vice President got 1532 to defeat his closest rival, Aminu Tambuwal, who got 693 votes.

While Senator Bukola Saraki got 317 votes, Ibrahim Dankwambo got 111 votes, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso got 158 votes, Ahmed Makarfi got 74 votes and Jonah Jang got 19 votes.

Others are Senator David Mark who got 35 votes, Sule Lamido got 96 votes, Atahiru Bafarawa got 48 votes, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki got 65 and Datti Baba-Ahmed got 05 votes.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will contest against President Muhammadu Bihari, who also on Sunday was declared candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019 presidential election.
