Obasanjo Appears at PDP Rally
Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo was seeing at the campaign organized by a governorship aspirant in Ogun State, Mr Oladipupo Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Adebutu, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Remo constituency had staged the rally at the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library.
As the rally was going on, Obasanjo made a cameo appearance. He was in a convoy of vehicles when he arrived at the venue but did not stay for long.
He came down from his car and waved briefly to the crowd at the rally and zoomed off. His short appearance heralded jubilation by the crowd who wanted him to stay longer.
Adebutu is an in-law to Obasanjo. The ex-president left the rally to his apartment right inside the library.
It was gathered that Obasanjo had a meeting with some diplomats early on Monday and would not have stayed at the rally.
The former president had said that he would not partake in partisan politics since he tore his PDP membership card.
