Obasanjo Tongue-lashes Buhari
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has come hard on President Muhammadu Buhari, as he described the present administration as an underperformer.
Obasanjo said this while reacting to a purported news that he had made a U-turn to support Buhari for the second term.
Ex-president Obasanjo described the news as false and fallacies, adding that morons would not describe the mediocre performance of President Buhari as superlative.
He dissociated himself from the report in a statement by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Obasanjo said that the purported report must be the handiworks of supporters of Buhari who should be thinking of how to address the insecurity and economic issues in Nigeria instead of selling propaganda.
“The mediocre performance of Buhari cannot be described by anybody as ‘superlative’ even by morons, not the least President Obasanjo,” he said.
President Buhari had earlier described the recent Obasanjo’s letter as abusive, which he would not like to talk about.
Meanwhile, the presidency had refused to comment on the latest Obasanjo’s comment as efforts to reach the Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed also proved abortive.
