The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two members of a four-man kidnapping and armed robbery syndicate allegedly responsible for many operations in northern and southern parts of the country.
Another member of the gang was not too fortunate, as he was shot dead after purportedly engaging in gun battle with members of the federal special anti-robbery squad of the police command.
According to the state police Commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, the syndicate could not operate effectively after intelligence revealed their presence in the state.
Some arms and ammunition were seized from the suspects.
