Okorocha’s Happiness Ministry, An Abomination – Ohakim
The former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim has described the creation of Ministry of Happiness by his successor and the incumbent Governor Rochas Okorocha as an abomination.
He said this while reacting to the appointment of Mrs Ogechi Ololo as the Commissioner for Happiness and Couples Fulfillment.
Ololo is a sister to Governor Okorocha.
Ohakim said that Okorocha had insulted the sensibilities of the residents of Imo State, adding, “Whose happiness are they looking for when salaries and pensions are not paid?”
He lamented that workers had not been paid but a governor went ahead to create the ministry of happiness.
“I have never heard that before and if I may ask did he create the happiness for his families and associate?”
“I have searched the internet and I am still searching to see where it was practised and couldn’t find any.”
The governor has been defending himself since he appointed Ololo to head the ministry of happiness.
First, he said that the government only created Ministry of Happiness and Purpose fulfilment but not couples fulfilment as was reported in the media.
He also said that Ololo was not just appointed but the government found out that she had the necessary credentials to occupy the position.
