Osinbajo And The Mafia Plot For 2023
ElevateNews takes a look at the political intrigues in the presidency.
Who is a liar in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government? Who is the chief of the mafias? Who sells scoop to the media in this government and why does the presidency has always been quick to refute stories that can sow seeds of discord among its members?
I read about three days ago how the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity,
The reporter had said that the president was engrossed in fear before the judgment but the statement by the presidency said that the President was unperturbed because he knew he would win the case.
The correspondent had refused to pick his story from the press statement but rather, he listened to the president, observed his countenance and wrote an organic content. Adesina hates what the professional acumen of the journalist just because the man had refused to use his patronizing and public relation piece.
When an online medium, the Cable, broke the story on Tuesday that President Buhari had directed Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to always seek his approval before taking any decision on the agencies and parastatals under him, the media aide of Osinbajo, Mr. Laolu Akande did not allow the news to trend before he refuted it, saying that there was nothing of such.
He described the news as an attempt to sow a seed of discord between the Vice President and his boss. To me, the media aides are doing a lot to keep their jobs and in doing so, they have been working against the profession that made them.
What I see is a plot against the southwest presidency in 2023. This happened a few days that President Buhari constituted an Economic Advisory Council and dismantled the economic team formed and led by Osinbajo.
The new development is a plot to distance Osinbajo from Buhari, thereby the mafia can have the listening ears of the President.
Believe me, Buhari has no grip of powers but a few
But let us take a look at the present situation of the insecurity and bad economic situation, which I think should be germane to the government instead of 2023.
There are no yet a leader but politicians whose thought is about how to perpetually rule the country without proffering the solution to the present insecurity and economic distress.
Every idea to improve the economy is targeted at making the poor poorer and the political elites much richer. Last week, the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS increased the Value Added Tax to 7.5 per cent from 5 per cent in its bid to increase the Internally Generated Revenue but no politician ever suggested that his/her salary and estacode be cut so that the N30, 000 minimum wage could be paid.
