Our President’s Wife Is Not Happy
NigeriaNews takes a look at Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari and her myriads of complaints.
Mrs. Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu is not happy.
If she does not complain about governance, which, she says has been hijacked from her husband, the first lady laments on Mamman Daura’s influence on her husband.
Daura, one of the very brilliant personalities that had stood with Buhari in his turbulent period is still in the backend as the president’s strategist.
He is one of the personalities Buhari would always listen to.
The veteran journalist silently affects government policy from the backend and to make his work more effective, Daura has to spend ample time including his children inside the presidential villa, Abuja.
Aisha does not like this arrangement at all as revealed by a video clip that went viral recently in which we saw nagging over the manner at which her children were being treated by the Dauras.
Of course, she is a woman that wants her husband to succeed judging by a lot of revelations on how cabals had taken over this administration.
But the reasons for her outburst is becoming clearer by the day as it is being narrowed down to her personal family battle.
Her husband, Buhari, unlike his predecessors, does not want the office of the first lady created when he assumed office.
Bubari prefers that Aisha lives in the kitchen and the other rooms but the wife of the president was not ready to be a maid in her husband house.
She launched herself to the public, thus contending some roles with his husband kitchen cabinet, one of them is Daura.
The latest revelation from her was that Daura gave presidential instruction to the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu without the consent of the president.
Though the actual instruction we not recorded, Aisha’s comment is an eye-opener that truly this government goes beyond what we see in the public.
No doubt that Aisha may be fighting Daura for her own relevance, the first lady’s continuous anger and revelation should not be overruled as the country gropes with both the politics and economy to survive.
First, it is an indication that Mr. President cannot really control his family.
Two, Aisha’s complaint has further exposed those that are indirectly directing the affairs of this country.
Of course, the reactions of the media aides of the president to the Punch Newspaper’s position on Buhari showed that the presidency is not in order.
Both Shehu and the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the president, Femi Adesina had divergent views about the Punch resolve to address Buhari as General and his administration as a regime until he corrects his bad records on human abuse.
On Thursday, Aisha capped her predicament, adding that she does not have pillow talk with Mr. President anymore. The president listens more to the cabals than the wife.
The president does not take government issue to the bed.
