PDP Governors Meet Party’s National Chairmanship Aspirants behind Closed Doors
State Governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Monday met the eight national chairmanship aspirants behind closed doors in Enugu State.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, the Ekiti State Governor said this shortly after the meeting, adding that the governors would support whosoever emerges as the next party national chairman.
The aspirants who were at the meeting included Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Chief Bode George, Rasheed Ladoja, Jimi Agbaje, Professor Tunde Adeniran, Taoheed Adedoja, Raymond Dokpesi and Uche Secondus.
Six of them are from the Southwest while the other two are from the south-south region of the country.
The meeting, which lasted for over five hours, according to Fayose resolved to support whosoever that emerges as the party chairman.
He said, “The forthcoming PDP convention will serve as a template for future conventions in the country.”
He spoke on November 18 governorship election in Anambra, saying that PDP would definitely win.
“We believe we will take over Anambra if the election is free, fair and credible.
