Pele Collapses, Hospitalized
The greatest footballer of all time, Brazil International and world legend Pele has been hospitalized after he collapsed due to exhaustion.
Pele is 77 and according to report, he was to travel to London as a guest of honour at a dinner organized by the Football Writers Association (FWA).
The writer association broke the news, adding that the three-time world cup winner is responding to treatment. Pele won the world cup with Brazil in 1958, 1962 and1970 and became FIFA player of the century.
“He is on fluids while doctors monitor his recovery. Thankfully there is no suggestion of anything more serious,” according to the official press statement.
The world legend Pele has been taken to hospital for kidney and prostate problems in recent years.
Pele has scintillating records of scoring 1,281 goals in 1,363 appearances during his 21-year career.
Seventy-seven of those goals were scored for his country, Brazil in 91 appearances.
He passionately assisted his country to win 1958, 1962 as well as 1970 World Cups and was eventually named Fifa’s Player of the Century.
