Plateau Killings: FG Is Plotting To Indict Me – Jang
Former Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang has alleged that the Federal Government is planning to indict him in the recent killings in the state.
He raised the alarm, adding that the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari wanted to jail him, by all means, possible because he has refused to join the All Progressives Congress.
Jang said that he was not involved in the alleged killings by the herdsmen and that it sounded absurd if anybody could think he would instigate Fulani herdsmen to kill Berom people.
“Does it not sound funny that Jang, a Berom man will ask herdsmen to come and kill my people in the name of politics,” Jang queried.
Jang who is a senator representing the Plateau North Senatorial District where the recent killings had happened called on the Federal Government to find a lasting solution to the carnage instead of trying to politicize it.
President Muhammadu Buhari has blamed the killings in Plateau on some politicians who were bent on disrupting the current government for selfish reasons.
However, the Federal Government has denied plotting to incarcerate Jang.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said he had not been informed about such move by the government and that there was nothing like that.
