Police Arrest Pry School Leaver Who Impersonates As Doctor For Four Years
One Abdulrahman Mohammed has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly impersonating a medical doctor.
Mohammed had been operating a clinic in the Idi-Araba area of the state for close to four years, an investigation revealed.
However, following a tip-off by residents in the area about the crime Mohammed had been committing, the police detectives visited his place and confirmed the allegation.
The police detectives discovered different brands and types of drugs, garden syringe, both used and new, stethoscope, blood pressure monitors and some other medical equipment in Mohammed’s clinic.
It was gathered that Mohammed administered injections and prescribed drugs for ignorant patients who patronized his clinic.
According to the State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, the 39-year-old quack doctor was arrested on April 14, around 12 am by detectives from the Area D Command, Mushin.
Our correspondent learnt that Mohammed was a native of Ran village, in the Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.
The commissioner of police said that Mohammed usually carried out a medical test and also confessed to buying his drugs from Idumota to resell for patients.
However, Mohammed denied impersonating a medical doctor, adding that he only sells drugs, which of course is another offence on its own.
