Police Tighten Security Around Billionaire Kidnapper, Chukwudidumeme Onwuamadike A.K.A. Evans
The police have tightened security around the arrested billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudidumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a Evans, following reports that his allies may want to silence him.
Investigation from a reliable source revealed that some of his accomplices who are now at large were seeking way to get rid of him so that he would not be able to name them as investigation continues.
As at yesterday, Evans had named some bigwigs in the kidnapping business, some of who resident in Imo, Edo and Lagos States.
The team of investigators took Evans round some areas of Lagos on Monday to identify the residence of some of his accomplice.
Evans was arrested on Saturday in one of his mansions located in Magodo Area of Lagos State.
It was also gathered that he had many properties scattered in his home town Nnewi and Onitsha in Anambra State, which according to the source would be visited.
“We have stern directives from Abuja, nobody will toy with these suspects, people that gave us sleepless nights for many years? “Do you know how happy we are after the arrest of, especially, their leader, Evans?” the source said.
Speaking on how Evans was nabbed, the source said that the IG Intelligence Response Team used the new sophisticated equipment to locate his whereabouts inside Magodo.
It was learnt that Evans was relaxing with a friend and was about leaving for the airport when the detectives pounced on him.
“He was waiting for Uber driver inside the Magodo residence when we entered the house,” the police said.
