President Muhammadu Buhari Returns To Nigeria
President Muhammadu Buhari came down from the Presidential Jet in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital.
The Nigeria President’s Jet, Eagle One landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 4:38 PM on today Saturday.
The Nigeria presidential jet had left London at 10:27 AM.
On hand to welcome President Buhari are the Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, members of the Federal Executive Council and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno.
Others are the governors of Imo and Bauchi states – Rochas Okorocha and Mohammed Abubakar; Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari as well as the presidential aides among others.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been away from the country for more 100 days on medical vacation in United Kingdom.
President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria on May 7, after official handing over to Vice President Pro. Yemi Osinbajo.
Mr Femi Adeshina, the special adviser on media and publicity to the president, said President Muhammadu Buhari would address the entire nation on Monday, August 21, 2017.
Some Nigerians took to the nooks and crannies of Abuja to welcome the President back to the country.
The ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), also united with the people to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari back to Nigeria after his medical vacation to London.
The party, in a statement signed by Mr Bolaji Abdullahi, its National Publicity Secretary, appreciated the Acting President, Professor Osinbajo, for his competent leadership in the absence of the President Buhari.
They also thanked Professor Yemi Osinbajo for his effort to unite Nigeria and ensure the recovery of the national economy.
The APC also appreciated all Nigerians who had prayed ceaselessly day and night for the speedy recovery and safe return of the President Muhammadu Buhari.
The APC assured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to fulfilling all the campaign promises made to Nigerians.
