PTDF Is Building Capacity for 6 Locally Based Researchers – Gusau
As part of efforts to ensure more productivity in the oil and gas sector, the Petroleum Technology Development Fund is building the capacity of six locally based researchers to conduct research in the oil and gas sector.
Speaking at the closeout seminar for the twenty fourteen – fifteen cycle of the PTDF research grant competition, the Executive Secretary PTDF, Bello Gusau says the application of the research results will be used in solving some of the problems facing the oil industry.
“About twelve million naira is to be spent for a two-year research cycle,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said the drop in power generation could have been triggered by the continuous rejection of load by the distribution companies due to frequency management.
The corporation through Ndu Ughamadu, the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs division, said power generation dropped by seven hundred and twelve megawatts on August 13, 2018, compared to the previous day’s generation.
He added that output from all the hydropower plants and some gas-fired stations, including Egbin in Lagos, suffered decline.
