Reconciliation: Buhari, Osinbajo, Saraki Meet Behind Closed Doors
As part of the moves to pacify the aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress, President Muhammadu Buhari, his vice Yemi Osinbajo met with the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki on Thursday.
The meeting, which was held at the presidential villa also had in attendance, some APC governors.
The governors included the Katsina State, Aminu Masari, Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun State and Atiku Bagudu, Kebbi State.
Also, the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi was present at the meeting, which lasted for about 45 minutes.
Though the presidency is yet to issue a press statement on the meeting, the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Fayemi said that those in attendance only came to congratulate the president over the APC victory in Ekiti governorship election.
He also said that the meeting was to reconcile the aggrieved members of the party. Recalled that Saraki had joined forces with some members of the party to form the Reformed APC.
The President of the Senate had also been mingling with prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party, suggesting where his interest now lies.
However, Saraki refused to comment on the meeting.
